Warrant issued against Preity Zinta

Bollywood actress Preity Zinta, industrialist Ness Wadia and Mohit Burman are in deep trouble as a Chandigarh court has issued warrant against them for failing to submit the balance sheet and the details of profit and loss of their IPL team - Kings XI Punjab.

The bailable warrants were issued by Chief Judicial Magistrate J S Sidhu after neither the three co-owners nor their counsels appeared before the court on a complaint filed by the Registrar of Companies (ROC) here.

However, another co-owner and industrialist Karan Paul`s counsel appeared before the court and submitted that he would appear in person on the next date of hearing. The court later adjourned the case till October 4.

According to reports, the ROC alleged that the firm, incorporated in March 2008, should have filed the annual return within 60 days from the day of its Annual General Meeting (AGM). The AGM was held in September 2009 but the company failed to file any return.

Gaurav Hooda, counsel for the ROC, said, “In our complaint we had submitted that the Mohali franchise had not filed any annual return and balance sheet since it came into existence,"

It seems that Preity-Ness need to pull up their socks until it is too late.
