No Action Replayy till director pays Rs 6.5 crore



Entertainment company Eros has moved the Bombay high court urging for a stay on the release of the movie Action Replayy starring Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai releases on 5th November saying its producer-director Vipul Shah must pay Rs 6.56 crore.

Eros’s counsel Venkatesh Dhond told the corurt that Shah is a defaulter and film associations have issued a circular to this effect last month.

When the judge asked why should the film’s release be stayed, Dhond said, “He may create third party rights after the film’s release and my rights will be prejudiced. He is taking everybody for a ride.”

The judge posted the matter to November 4 observing that the there is sufficient time till then for a settlement
