'The Social Network' storms national board of review




'The Social Network'  was named the Best Picture of 2010 by the National Board of Review. It swept the board with four top awards and was announced December 2 in New York.

Jesse Eisenberg who plays the lead in the movie has been named best actor, while Fincher was given the award for best director and scriptwriter, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Aaron Sorkin claimed best adapted screenplay for the film, which chronicles the invention of popular social networking website Facebook.com.

Other top awardees include Jennifer Lawrence for breakthrough performance for "Winter's Bone", "The Town' which got the best ensemble cast and "Toy Story 3" which was deemed the best animated feature.

The gala ceremony is scheduled for January 11, 2011 in New York City.
