Jessica Simpson may be focusing on her booming fashion career, but it seems she might soon have the chance to return to TV. Jessica Simpson has been preaching against judging others by their looks -- but she never said anything about their singing voices.
The X Factor. The pop star is reportedly a frontrunner to become one of Cowell's fellow judges on the FOX show, People reports. However, at this time no one has reportedly been offered a judging role on the show.
A number of names have been thrown around, but it seems that Simpson is leading the pack and may be interested in a spot as well.
"No one has been offered a judging role yet as new names keep coming forward who want the role, but there are some frontrunners and it's fair to say Jessica is one of them," says the magazine's source. "She's very keen."
The source adds that Simon is "not in a rush to decide," and that the final decision on judges may not happen for "a few weeks." But Simpson, says the insider, has all the qualities they're looking for: she's talented, likeable and "knows what she is talking about."
