Amy Winehouse Death Due To Alcohol Withdrawal

Amy Winehouse‘s family has released a statement saying Amy died from alcohol withdrawal last Saturday. Though it was her struggles to quit drugs that received a lot of focus in the media, Amy‘s family suspects that alcohol withdrawal caused her death.

“He said doctors had told Amy to gradually reduce her intake of alcohol and to avoid bingeing at all costs. Amy told him she couldn’t do that. It was all or nothing and she gave up completely,”

The source explained,“Mitch said the shock of giving up, after everything she had been through over a bad few years, was just too much for her to take.”

Toxicology reports from Amy‘s post-mortem won’t be available for quite a while, but Amy‘s family believes she ignored her doctors’ advice to quit drinking gradually and went cold turkey instead, which caused such a shock to her system and lead to her death.
