Pakistani actress Meera who hit infamy in India, starting with controversies surrounding her debut film Nazar, is in trouble once again, this time in her home country.
Income tax officials in Pakistan, are learnt to have sealed the house of the renowned actress, located in a posh residential area, for not paying property tax.
According to reports quoting the IT department there, the actress has defaulted in paying Rs 1,07,000/- of tax, despite many notices. A source claimed that Meera had rented the said house out to a family, and inspite of collecting the rent regularly, never bothered to pay the tax.
“Meera has always been controversy’s favourite child. But she is also a brave girl and a fighter. She has learnt to face life and come out of the most difficult situations with time,” said her India publicist Dale Bhagwagar, adding that the actress is expected to visit India soon to shoot for more movies.
