Actress Uma Thurman is expecting a baby with financier beau Arpad Busson, confirms her representative.
Although this would be her first child with Busson, she already has two children - daughter Maya, 13, and son Levon, 10 - with ex-husband Ethan Hawke, reports people.com.
Thurman and Busson began dating in 2007 and, after a brief split in 2009, they have been together ever since.
Although becoming pregnant after the age of 40 is often more difficult and comes with great risks of birth defects and complications, Thurman is hardly the first celebrity to recently conceive in their fourth decade. Halle Berry and Mariah Carey, for example, both gave birth to children at 41.
Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke divorced in 2004 after rumors of cheating plagued the relationship. Hawke basically confirmed the gossip he cheated on Thurman by marrying the nanny employed by the couple while they were married.
Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke share custody of two children together, 13-year-old Maya and 10-year-old Levon. Hawke also has two children with his new wife, 3-year-old Clementine and 6-month-old Indiana.
In her guest role on “Smash,” Uma Thurman will reportedly play a “famous and somewhat difficult movie star,” according to Entertainment Weekly.
