Presently, Sunjay and Karisma are living separately. Karisma is based in Mumbai and Sunjay in Delhi. The tension in their relationship surfaced after the news of Sunjay’s friendship with model-socialite Priya Sachdev came into forefront.
A source said, "Sunjay and Priya appear to be extremely serious about each other. They want to keep their past behind and start anew."
Sunjay was earlier married to fashion designer Nandita Mahtani. He got divorced from Nandita and tied the knot with Karisma. Sunjay’s latest girlfriend Priya at first married to New York-based hotelier Vikram Chatwal from whom she has a child.
The source added, "Sunjay has expressed his desire to get married again. So it is obvious that he will be legally parting ways. Karisma is aware of what is happening and so are her folks. She is keeping a brave front. Both the parties concerned are keen to tackle the situation in a quiet way without any media glare."
Karisma has two children from Sunjay, Samaira and Kiaan Raj. Karisma’s parents intervened and tried to sort out things but alas their marriage could not be saved. It is also heard that the ‘Dangerous Ishq’ actress has filed for divorce. During the promotion of ‘Dangerous Ishq’, when Karisma was asked about Sunjay, she avoided the question.
