Case against Shah Rukh, Gauri in Bihar

A local on Monday directed police to register an FIR against seven people including Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan and Karan Jauhar. The court direction came after a complaint was filed by Sudhir Kumar Ojha against filmmakers for their using 'objectionable' words against Hindu deity in a song in 'Student of the Year'.

Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate SP Singh ordered the SHO of Sadar police to investigate the matter and lodge FIR against persons involved.

Submitting his complaint in the court, Sudhir Kumar Ojha argued that the movie featured a song that uses 'sexy' word for Radha. He further said the ‘objectionable’ word for Hindu deity has hurt the religious sentiments of the Hindu community.

Sudhir said the filmmakers advertently used the word ‘sexy’ in the song to gain publicity. The complaint was lodged under IPC’s section 294, 295 and 295A against Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Karan Jauhar, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Siddharth Malhotra, and Dharma Production.
