Pop star Katy Perry's marriage to Russell Brand would not be an extravagant affair as the couple are reportedly planning an intimate party in India. Perry's friend Rihanna has suggested they could get hitched in India where the British comedian proposed on New Year's Eve.
They will fly their select guests to a secret location for seven days of celebrations and it looks like the place could be Goa, reported News of the World. The couple are sending a henna-inspired hand-shaped invite, complete with a huge diamond engagement ring, which hints at an exotic location.
It tells guests they'll need a passport and at least a week off work. The date on the invite is October 18 to 25, 2010.
And the text reads, "Save the Week, For the Wedding of Katy & Russell. You will be contacted soon with more information.
I always have a ton of people around me and I think the people that are going to share this moment with us are the people we want to integrate into each others' lives," said Perry. "We don''t want it to be a drunk fest of people, just one night and then forgetting about it. We want it to be about the love," she added.
