Lindsay Lohan is set to drop her last name in an attempt to put her troubled past behind her, according to the actress' mother and now wants to be known by just her first name.
The Mean Girls star is planning to re-launch herself as simply 'Lindsay' as she struggles to rebuild her career following a string of personal problems and stints in jail and rehab.
"Lindsay is dropping the Lohan and just going by Lindsay," Fox News quoted Lindsay’s mother Dina Lohan as telling Popeater.
"Plus, me and [younger daughter] Ali will be officially changing our last names back to my maiden name, Sullivan,” she added.
Lindsay and her mother have had a tumultuous relationship with Lohan’s father, Michael, who was recently booked on suspicion of battery and false imprisonment of his girlfriend Kate Major.
