Hollywood heartthrob Johnny Depp will make a cameo appearance in the big screen remake of ''21 Jump Street''.
The ''Pirates of the Caribbean'' star will appear in a small, uncredited part in the remake, which will star Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill in the lead, reported Contactmusic.
Although it is unclear if Depp will reprise his original role, he revealed last year that he had his own plans for the movie.
"If we find the right thing to do, it could be very funny. It sounds like a great idea. It''d be hilarious," the actor had said.
In the new Phil Lord and Christopher Miller-directed movie, which will begin filming later this month, Tatum and Hill will play police officers investigating a new drug plaguing a high school and it was Hill''s idea to rope in the superstar.
"We wrote a really awesome Johnny Depp cameo. I talked to his agent a few times. I''ve never met the man. He probably won''t do it, but if he does, it will be one I think he''d be proud of, and it''s a real crowd pleaser. It''s not cheesy," Hill said.
