Although American Idol took a new approach this season with Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez as new Idol judges, by all accounts American Idol has been a hit after the departure of Simon Cowell who will soon be seen on the American version of The X Factor.
According to New York Daily News, American Idol producer Ken Warwick admitted that it was gamble to go with Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez as Idol judges after the losses of Simon Cowell, Ellen DeGeneres and Kara DioGuardi. "It doesn't always work out," said Warwick. "You can end up making a bad mistake. In this case, it worked out even better than we had hoped."
Warwick also addressed the caliber of talent on the current season of American Idol by saying that it has increased to the point where more than one Idol hopeful will become a star and there are a couple from Season 10 who will undoubtedly go a long way in the music business.
