Newly turned producers Dia Mirza and Zayed Khan might have pulled it off well together so far but journey has not been so easy. The duo despite seeking legal permission for shooting of ‘Love, Breakup and Zindagi’ at different parts of Mumbai were attacked by social activists while filming at Juhu beach.
The debutant director and co-producer Sahil Singha elaborates, “We were attacked by the social activists while we were shooting for the song ‘Love Love Love’ at Juhu beach. We could not figure out the reason behind the outrage as we had already taken permission for the shooting purpose.”
“Actually, the song is featured on Dia, a photographer by profession who takes Zayed an outsider on Mumbai darshan. Thus, photographer in Dia shows Zayed Mumbai through her eyes and makes him visit all the places which are close to her heart including Mount Mary Church, Juhu beach,” he adds.
Actress and co-producer Dia Mirza too sheds light on her experience of tackling such issues and says, “I think our iconic industry really needs friendly approach from government as far as legalities of taking permissions are concerned.”
“We contribute to the major chuck of income tax to the government; thus, need a little flexibility from their end when it comes to legal matters,” she concludes.Your Ad Here
