Sonam Kapoor caught at BIA without proper identification

Bangalore doesn’t recognize Bollywood actors and Sonam Kapoor faced this bitter reality in the 1st person at BIA. The actress was caught uncomfortable outside Gate 2 (Departures) where she was held for over 30 minutes by security staff for the lack of correct recognition.

Sonam was along with a female friend, assumed to be her manager, who attempted fending off the occasional issues about the actress’s identification. When DNA attempted to approach the duo, inquiring if it was Sonam Kapoor, we’re very sternly told, “No, she isn’t. Does she even seem like Sonam Kapoor?”

What was quite shocking was the lack of any confusion or excitement of the presence of an ‘actress’ and the lack of any entourage, whatsoever. Travelers examining in through the same entrance passed Sonam Kapoor, oblivious to her celebrity presence and the same mindset was meted out by the security staff too. Sonam and her buddy were seen making stressful calls for a number of minutes, after which, finally, she was escorted into the airport terminal, fuming.

Airport authorities verified Sonam’s presence at BIAL and also verified her lack of any proper Identification.
