Neil Nitin Mukesh has had four releases so far. However, he’s had only one true-blue hit - New York - which also starred Katrina Kaif and John Abraham.
Now with Lafangey Parindey released, he hopes Deepika Padukone will be his lucky charm.
“Katrina is usually referred to as the lucky charm for actors. Ranbir Kapoor got his first hit with Katrina, Akshay Kumar’s magic run started with Katrina and Govinda made a comeback with her, too, in Partner. She was lucky for Neil, too, in New York,” said a source close to the actor. “Similarly Deepika is considered a lucky girl, and Neil hopes she stays lucky for him.”
Neil added, “It would be fun if that happens!” Looks like the importance of heroines in Bollywood has risen!
