Actress Bhumika Chawla has filed a complaint in Hyderabad, seeking divorce from her yoga expert husband Bharath Thakur. The couple tied the knot in October 2007.
The couple's close friend revealed that they have been living separately since March last year. "At Bharat’s insistence, Bhumika started a production house with a Telugu film Thakida Thakita. But it bombed, leading to losses amounting to a couple of crores. He also got her to invest in a business venture in Dubai, but it’s not doing well. Last month, she filed a police complaint against him in Hyderabad,” the friend said.
However, Bhumika Chawla has denied the rumours. She said, "We are absolutely fine and happily married. It’s like Chinese Whispers. One paper writes something without proof and others follow. We are fine, thank God." The actress also said that she was in Dubai with Thakur for two months and is currently in Mumbai as her mother underwent a heart surgery recently.
