Sonakshi Sinha and Asin Thottumkal have both said no to the Hindi remake of Tamil blockbuster film, Vettai, of which Shahid is the star.
Sonakshi reportedly felt that the hero-centric film would not be the right career move for her, given that she has played prominent roles in Dabangg and her second film Rowdy Rathore.
On the other hand, Asin has moved on to greener pastures - namely, the Khans. She will appear in Most Wanted in 2013 with Salman and with SRK in Sajid Nadiawala's upcoming film based on Chetan Bhagat's novel, Two States.
Industry insiders believe that South Indian actress Ileana D'Cruz has agreed to do the role.
The movie will be an action flick directed by Tamil director N Linguswamy, who also directed the original Tamil film, with Shahid Kapur in the lead role.
Shahid's last Bollywood release for the ill-fated Mausam, directed by his father Pankaj Kapur and co-starring Sonam Kapoor.
