The diamond necklace Lindsay Lohan apparently stole from a California jewellery store is set to be auctioned off for a charity.
The ‘Mean Girls’ star is facing a felony grand theft charge and a possible prison sentence if she is found to have stolen the 1,670 pounds piece from the Kamofie and Company store in California in January (11).
Bosses at the shop have now confirmed the item in question is set to be sold off and the proceeds handed to charity.
Keeping up the famous traditional affinity of diamonds and the glam world, a 10.10-carat diamond Rosette necklace was presented to Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan by jeweller Pascal Mouawad.
The necklace embodies heart-shaped diamond. During a meeting, the jeweller also discussed the possible idea of launching a jewellery line with the actress. The necklace gifted to Lohan is estimated to be worth $25,000.
