Looks like Justin’s been learning a thing or two from his new mentor, who is of course none other than five-division world boxing champ Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
But it’s really rather shocking to find out that The Biebs, who maintains a squeaky-clean image to go with his teen heartthrob persona, was involved in a fight. Sure, he’s had a few scrapes in the past (mostly driving-related incidents), but he’s been keeping his nose relatively clean ever since the highly publicized paternity scandal last year.
Apparently when you’re a huge superstar, you can only stay scandal-free for so long.
The “Boyfriend” singer reportedly got into a tussle with a paparazzo on Sunday, at a mall called The Commons in Calabasas. According to witnesses, the photog blocked Justin’s car and refused to move out of the way, which prompted the singer to leave his car and confront the man. However, despite Justin’s requests, the camera guy stubbornly refused to move, and a physical altercation ensued.
Authorities were alerted when the paparazzo called 911, but by then Justin and his girlfriend Selena Gomez, who was in the car with him, had left the scene.
TMZ reports,“The photog complained of pain to his upper torso, an ambulance was summoned and he was taken to a local hospital where he was examined and released a short time later. [He] filed a police report naming Justin as the culprit. Cops are investigating the incident as a misdemeanor battery.”
Law enforcement officials are reportedly looking to speak with Bieber, Gomez, and any other witnesses to the scene.
