Taylor Swift stays No. 1 at the end of the year

Taylor Swift notches another week at No. 1 with her latest album, Speak Now, selling an additional 276,000 copies according to Nielsen SoundScan as reported by Billboard. That’s an increase from the prior week where Taylor moved 259,000 units.

Last week’s No. 2 album, Susan Boyle‘s The Gift, stayed put at No. 2 although she experienced a 6% sales drop to 240,000 copies. Michael Jackson‘s Michael also experienced a sales drop, this one more substantial. MJ lands at No. 5 this week with 150,000, bringing his two week total to 379,000.

Three brand new r&b albums from Jamie Foxx, Keyshia Cole and Keri Hilson enter the chart this week. First up is Jamie Foxx’s Best Night Of My Life. The album enters at No. 6 with 144,000 copies sold. Keyshia Cole’s new one, Calling All Hearts, opens with 128,000 albums sold, enough to be placed at No. 9. Keri Hilson’s No Boys Allowed pretty girl rocks its way just outside the top 10 at No. 11. Keri shifted 102,000 copies of her sophomore album, an improvement from her debut album’s, In A Perfect World, first week total of 94,000.
