Selena Gomez has seriously infuriated her parental units by discarding her purity ring and, even worse, proceeding to hook up with Justin Bieber. The purity ring was given to her by her father and Gomez has been wearing it since she was 12.
Sources say, “The family has even gone as far as having people in her entourage report back to them when she spends time with Justin. Selena hates being spied on, and that’s pushing her away from her family,”
According to Showbiz Spy, once things started to get more serious―or at least hotter and heavier―with Justin, Selena began to wear the purity ring less often, until it finally disappeared from her finger.
Gomez's parents' anger over their daughter's hook-up with the Biebs has nothing to do with disliking him. In fact, they don't disapprove of Selena and Justin dating. They are, however, "very conservative people and they’d be heartsick if she did something with him that she’d later regret." Right.
