That Girl in Yellow Boots gets Toronto buzzing

This Year’s Toronto International Film Festival is now nearing its final stretch with a mere three days before it's curtain call for 2010.

A film that has been gaining momentum over this finishing lap is Anurag Kashyap’s That Girl in Yellow Boots which comes into Toronto fresh off a standing ovation at this year’s Venice International Film Festival.

A gritty and pulsating thriller of biracial woman searching the strengths of Mumbai for her missing father the film stars Dev D’s Kalki Koechlin as leading lady
and marks the debuts of Prashant Prakash and Gulshan Devaiah both of whom hail from the world of theatre much like Kalki.

The film which has already had multiple screenings at the festival is generating great interest among buyers, industry folks and press alike. The outpouring of positive feelers from early watchers is only adding to the tremendous buzz and keen anticipation for the film amongst moviegoers making it the hottest ticket in town, prior to its premiere tonight at the prestigious Elgin Theatre in the heart of downtown Toronto.

The film’s director, Anurag Kashyap, heroine Kalki and hero Prashant are all expected to walk the red carpet and we hear Kalki’s picked quite a stunner for her red carpet
appearance!
